Looking for clinics in Portugal? New Holidays brings together dental, medical and aesthetic-care profiles across Portugal to help international patients find the type of provider that fits their needs.
Rather than placing dental practices, medical specialists and aesthetic centres in one long directory, this Portugal hub separates them into two dedicated guides. This makes it easier to explore relevant providers without comparing clinics that offer completely different types of care.
Choose the type of clinic you are looking for in Portugal:
Finding Dental and Medical Clinics in Portugal
Portugal has a diverse private healthcare sector, and the type of provider a patient needs can vary considerably.
Someone travelling for dental implants or restorative dentistry should evaluate very different information from a patient considering plastic surgery, rhinoplasty, aesthetic treatment or hair restoration.
For this reason, New Holidays maintains separate Portugal guides for dental and medical care.
The dental guide contains clinic profiles across several areas of mainland Portugal as well as Madeira and the Azores. The medical guide currently focuses on selected specialist, aesthetic and treatment profiles in Lisbon and Porto.
Each individual profile provides more detailed information about the relevant provider, location or treatment pathway.
Dental Clinics in Portugal
The Portugal Dental Clinics guide brings together dental providers in locations including Lisbon, Porto, Braga, Sintra, Oeiras, Setúbal, Peniche, Viseu, Caldas da Rainha, the Algarve, Madeira and the Azores.
The individual clinic pages focus on information that can actually help a patient compare providers.
Depending on the clinic, this may include:
- the named dental team;
- clinical director;
- exact location;
- professional or healthcare registrations;
- diagnostic facilities;
- implantology or oral-surgery experience;
- orthodontic or restorative care;
- in-house dental laboratory facilities;
- clinic-specific treatment planning;
- current opening hours.
We deliberately avoid assuming that every dental clinic offers the same technologies, implant systems, languages or treatment protocols.
Where New Holidays does not currently have one fixed provider in a destination, the relevant page explains the dental-care assistance process rather than presenting an unidentified clinic as a permanent partner.
Medical and Aesthetic Clinics in Portugal
Our Portugal Medical Clinics guide currently includes selected profiles in Lisbon and Porto.
These are not all the same type of facility.
The current guide includes a named plastic surgeon in Lisbon, specialist rhinoplasty and ENT care in Porto, a beauty and wellbeing centre in Ramalde and assistance for patients researching hair transplantation in Lisbon.
This distinction matters because a plastic surgeon, an ENT surgeon, a beauty centre and a hair-restoration provider should not be evaluated using the same criteria.
For surgical treatment, qualifications, medical assessment, anaesthesia, surgical setting and postoperative follow-up become particularly important.
For non-surgical beauty treatments, patients may instead be comparing available technologies, treatment programmes and practitioner availability.
Why We Do Not Rank Every Clinic as “The Best”
New Holidays does not use this page to create an artificial ranking of the “best clinic in Portugal”.
Different clinics may be appropriate for different patients.
A dental implant patient may prioritise oral-surgery experience and diagnostic imaging. Someone considering rhinoplasty may need a surgeon who can assess both nasal appearance and breathing function. A patient looking for non-surgical aesthetic treatment has another set of requirements entirely.
Individual clinic and treatment pages therefore provide the information needed to make a more meaningful comparison.
Planning Treatment in Portugal
Patients travelling from another country should establish the clinical requirements before arranging travel specifically around treatment.
Useful information to provide in an enquiry can include:
- the treatment or medical problem you want assessed;
- your preferred location in Portugal;
- expected arrival and departure dates;
- existing X-rays or scans when relevant;
- photographs when useful for an initial assessment;
- previous treatment or surgery;
- relevant medical information.
More complex dental rehabilitation, surgery and hair transplantation can require several stages or postoperative reviews.
The provider should therefore confirm the expected treatment schedule before patients make inflexible travel arrangements.
Treatment Prices in Portugal
Treatment costs can vary between providers.
They may also depend on diagnostic findings, materials, complexity, the number of appointments and the individual treatment plan.
For that reason, this country hub does not publish one generic Portugal price table.
Current prices are more useful when they relate to a specific clinic and an actual patient enquiry rather than an old national estimate.
How New Holidays Can Help
New Holidays is a dental and medical tourism information and patient-coordination platform.
You can browse the dedicated Dental Clinics and Medical Clinics guides above and then open the profile that is most relevant to your needs.
If you already know what treatment you are looking for, include that information when submitting an enquiry.
Where a specific provider is identified, New Holidays can help coordinate the enquiry and appointment availability.
For selected destinations or treatment enquiries where clinic selection forms part of the service, we first review the patient’s requirements and then confirm an appropriate provider before an appointment is arranged.
The treating dentist, doctor or other qualified professional remains responsible for the final diagnosis, treatment recommendation, medical suitability and current treatment fee.
