Hair Transplant Clinic Alicante

About Us
Since ancient times hair has been considered as an attribute of health and beauty. Hair loss can lead to a serious affectation of the psychosocial sphere of both men and women.
In our center, the patient is always evaluated in consultation by Dr. Pérez Ortiz through a complete medical history. Personal and family history are assessed and complete blood analysis is requested.
Subsequently, a tricoscopic study is carried out through the hair examination and photos are taken that will later serve as a guide to evaluate the result obtained with the different treatments.
Taking into account a series of factors (age, sex, previous pathologies, and hair problem), the patient is presented with different therapeutic options.

There are occasions when it is necessary to perform surgical treatment to obtain an optimal aesthetic result.
With capillary surgery (´´ Capillary transplant technique´´), totally natural results are achieved by minimally invasive surgery.
The hair transplant is performed in both men and women. It takes avout 12 months when the final aesthetic result can be observed.
It is very important to combine hair transplantation with medical treatment to stabilize the alopecia process and optimize the final result.
Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure involving several professionals (medical, nursing staff and hair technicians). Coordinated teamwork is required for several hours (6-10hrs) depending on the follicular units to be transplanted.
The hair transplant is performed in the operating room, using local anesthesia.

  • Finasteride
Finasteride is an FDA-approved medication for the treatment of hair loss in men. Finasteride belongs to a class of drugs known as 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors. It works by preventing testosterone from breaking down into DHT, the hormone that is thought to cause male pattern baldness
  • Dutasteride
It is a drug similar to Finasteride, with the difference that it generates more potent inhibition of male hormones at the level of the hair follicle with an equally low level of side effects.
  • Minoxidil Treatment
Minoxidil is a hair loss and hair regrowth treatment that’s widely used to treat male hair loss. Unlike drugs such as finasteride, which prevent hair loss by blocking DHT, minoxidil works by creating an ideal growth environment for your existing hair follicles.
Applied externally as a lotion or foam. Its function is to stimulate hair growth, increasing the phase of follicular growth. This drug helps to get more blood flow, oxygen and nutrients to the follicle. Its effect begins to be noticed at 3-4 months of treatment. It is recommended to use 1 ml of solution in each application in the morning and at night.
Oral: It is one of the greatest novelties in the treatment of androgenetic alopecia. The usual dose is 0.25-1 mg (in women) and between 1-5 mg (in men).
  • PRP Treatments
Biostimulation with autologous plasma rich in growth factors consists in injecting the platelet-rich plasma fraction of the patient into the scalp in order to stimulate hair growth and increase the diameter of the hair.
It is recommended to perform 4 sessions a year and use it as a complement to medical treatment with antiandrogens and minoxidil.
The treatment of PRP, like intradermal infiltrations with Dutasteride, is performed on an outpatient basis, without prior preparation by the patient and with an immediate incorporation into their socio-work routine.
