Our Dental Clinic is a family story started by Hrvoje and Melita Manola after more than 20 years of successful work in dental and aesthetic medicine. Our practice employs the best experts, such as our dentist Ana Frković, who, after completing the secondary education for a dental technician at the Medical Secondary School in Rijeka, earned a degree in Dental medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Rijeka in 2003. She earned her 17-year experience and knowledge by working in the best private polyclinics specialised in periodontics and implant dentistry working in all fields of dental medicine with an emphasis on aesthetic dentistry and periodontics.

The crown is a dental replacement that fully imitates the appearance and function of a natural tooth. The natural tooth must be prepared i.e., the space for a new replacement must be created.
Preparations are minimal and tissue-saving.
Bridges are a set of connected crowns that replace two or more missing teeth.
The materials bridges and crowns are made of are metal-ceramics, zirconium-ceramics and full ceramics. Most often we use zirconium – ceramics because this combination of materials is the most compatible with natural dental tissue, and they resemble the natural tooth the most (no black metal edges). Replacing a missing tooth with a crown or a bridge is a painless procedure whose length depends on the number of missing teeth and their condition as well as on the inter-jaw relations. The treatment can be completed in 2 to 4 appointments. The procedures are performed under local anaesthesia.
If more than one tooth is missing, fixed bridges can be made on implants as well. In that case 2 to 8 implants are needed. This treatment takes 4 to 6 appointments within the period of 4 to 6 months.

Veneers provide, naturalness and whiteness of the teeth without major interventions on the natural tooth. A veneer is a very thin substitute, which is attached to the existing tooth and provides strength and resilience comparable to the natural tooth enamel. With them, slight orthodontic shifts, chipped or fractured teeth, discoloration, wear and tear and gaps between the teeth can be restored. The materials from which they are ceramics or composites.
They can have a thickness of about 0.3 to 1.5 mm, which requires the preparation of the tooth enamel in the same amount. Dental Implants
Before we place the implant, we will make a CT scan of the area to assess the bone condition and determine the size and type of implant. If the bone is not high or wide enough, we can replace it with artificial, natural or patient’s own bone / a graft from another area /.
If one or more teeth are missing, the treatment depends on several factors: the patient’s wishes, biological predispositions (the condition of the remaining teeth, bone condition, inter-jaw relations) aesthetics and finances of the patient.
The surgical placement of dental implants is painless because we use local anesthesia.
OSTEOINTEGRATION
After procedure, the implant must heal through osseointegration / fusion with the surrounding bone / for 3 – 6 months, depending on the primary stability of the implant at surgical placement. Once the osseointegration is complete, dentist will remove the healing cap to place the abutment on implants to form the base for the future crown.
At our dental clinic we use Swiss Straumann implants. The implants are of titanium to avoid allergic reactions. The lifespan of an implant mostly depends on a very thorough oral hygiene and regular visits to your dentist. Other important factors are general health conditions, medical therapy and eating habits.
Root Canal Treatments
Endodontic therapy begins with removal of caries, removal of infected pulp tissue, and cleaning and widening the root canals. Once the pain calm down, dentist will fill root canals with permanently bio compatible material to prevent recurrence of bacterial infection. Dentist close the defect in the tooth crown with a filling or a ceramic replacement to prevent further tooth cracking.

Teeth whitening in the Dental clinic is shorter and more effective from dental splint whitening at home. Dentist apply Opalescence boost 40% hydrogen peroxide to the teeth, depending on desired result. Treatment takes 20 to 40 minutes.
Teeth whitening is painless unless the patient has sensitive teeth. In this case we can apply anaesthesia to make the procedure absolutely painless.
Whitening result is immediately visible, but it is necessary to change life habits so that the result lasts longer. A few days after whitening patient cant consume coloured drinks such as; coffee, red wine and black tea. You should avoid smoking.
The only downside of the whitening treatment is the sensitivity that sometimes develops to hot, cold or sweet. It stops within a few days.
