- Smile Correction ( focus on gingival area )
With the use of botox we can use improve your smile.
The gingival smile is cause for great dissatisfaction because it makes the appearance disharmonious. When the patient exposes more than 3mm of gingiva when smiling, the gingival smile is characterized. One of the most effective and modern treatments to correct the problem is the use of botulinum toxin. The substance limits the movement of the upper lip, making the gingiva less apparent.
Teeth whitening is the process that, in addition to leaving them white, helps remove stains and corrects discoloration. There are many myths that revolve around the theme. Contrary to many people’s beliefs, it is not necessary to wait until the teeth are stained or too dark for a whitening treatment.
There are basically two possible ways to whiten your teeth: light whitening (halogen, LED or laser) and home tooth whitening. The results of both methods are similar, what varies is the duration of the procedures and the duration of the effect coming from the treatment. The treatment with light is much faster, by using a bleaching gel much stronger than the gel used in the home bleaching.
The basic difference between the process of teeth whitening performed in a dental office and the home process consists of the following: in the office, a whitening gel is applied to the teeth without contact with the lips and gums. Then a beam of light is applied to activate the product and accelerate the bleaching process. In the home process, a weaker gel is placed in a silicone tray. This material must be purchased at specialist sites or at your dentist’s office, but never without the advice of the dentist.
The results of the treatments have an average duration of two years, provided that the patient takes the necessary care: do not smoke and do not take pigmented foods, such as soft drinks, coffee, tomato sauces and chocolates. In addition, you should visit the dentist every six months and brush your teeth after every meal.
Another important aspect associated with this treatment is the increased self-esteem and self-confidence of the patient. The procedure may be indicated for patients 16 years of age or older.
Orthodontic appliances are devices used by orthodontics to correct problems of growth, development and maturation of bite and dental arches.
It applies external force on the teeth, moving them or changing the shape of the jaw.
There are different types of orthodontic appliances, each of which has its advantages and indications, almost never linked to aesthetics, but contributing to the harmonization of the general health of the organism.
There are many types, but we can generically divide them into fixed and mobile devices, which can have effects on the teeth and the bone structure that supports the teeth. Within these categories, the main appliances are: the fixed, whose most common type is the metallic braces; the aesthetic fixed, made with transparent material, which makes it have a better aesthetic effect than the metallic, but with the same basic purpose; mobile device, effective for children with or without definitive teeth, until about 12 years of age; the palatal expander, which is also another type of appliance, suitable for young people who need to correct crossbites.
Alignment devices, most commonly used in aesthetic dental treatments, are a good choice for people who have had metal-related rejections; and the lingual apparatus, used in simpler cases, of short duration, which is considered as invisible orthodontic appliance.
The duration of treatment with devices will always depend on each case. Some patients, in a year and a half or two, have their oral imperfections resolved, while others may remain for longer periods of time using the appliances.
Lingual orthodontics, popularly known as invisible braces, is especially suitable for people who need to correct their teeth, but do not want the “metallic smile” of conventional braces, where the brackets are glued to the front. Another advantage of lingual orthodontics is the greater comfort provided, since their parts are smaller. This type of device is usually used for simpler and quicker cases.
Periodontics is the dental specialty responsible for the prevention and treatment of diseases that affect the tissues of support and protection of the teeth, more specifically the gums and bone. After cavities, periodontal disease is the most common oral problem in the population.
Depending on the stage of the disease, some symptoms, such as bleeding, inflammation of the gums, tartar, soft teeth, change in the position and root exposure of some teeth may be observed. But in most cases, there are no visible symptoms for patients.
The delay in the treatment ends up putting at risk health in general. According to studies presented, microorganisms present in periodontal diseases are closely related to a number of problems, such as cardiovascular diseases (infarction), osteoporosis, diabetes, strokes, risk of preterm birth, low birth weight babies or spontaneous abortions.
Although more common in older people, periodontitis can also affect young people, so it is important to start prevention early. With a multidisciplinary preventive treatment, involving periodontics and orthodontics, it is possible to delay or even eliminate the need for prosthesis use.
Many people come to the office in doubt about whether or not to replace old fillings with new ones.
In most cases, the material used is amalgam, a very popular metal, but today it does not follow the aesthetic standards desired by patients. The amalgam, although very long lasting, is dark and ends up disentangling the natural color of the teeth. On the other hand, fillings can be found in different colors, including those specific for teeth that have undergone dental whitening processes. Besides the ease of adapting aesthetically to any tooth, the fillings also have the advantages of presenting less problem of infiltration, being a more modern material and that can even replace the veneers.
- Tooth Extraction
Surgical removal of a dental element. Known popularly as “extraction”, the extraction was the first specialty practiced by the first dentists. There are basically 3 techniques, which are: the alveolar pathway, which is the most common and used when the tooth is extracted by the alveolus itself; the non-alveolar path, indicated when one has an included tooth, there is a hypercementose or a change; and apicectomy, which is the treatment of the root apex, apical route, done through a surgical procedure in which there is direct intervention at the root apex.
The following precautions should be taken after extraction: avoiding cold or warm food; consume soft food; avoid the use of straws to suck liquid or pasty food, as well as avoid chewing on the side where the extraction was performed; avoid mouthwash in the first 24 hours; use high pillow to sleep; avoid strong sun; avoid physical activities.
The dentist will prescribe the medication to be taken after the extraction. Only he has the technical knowledge to prescribe medication appropriate to the problem. In some cases, only one pain killer is sufficient; in others, there is a need for the use of antibiotics and anti-inflammatories.
Adequate sanitation is essential after the extraction. It consists of passing the brush very slowly and smoothly on the spot after 24 hours, you can do the mouthwash without much effort, as the accumulation of dirt can cause infection.
AESTHETIC MEDICINE TREATMENTS
Sutures for Facial Lifting
For a facelift without surgery, barbed sutures are inserted into the face to create a lifting effect or a tightening and firming of the soft facial tissues. This non-surgical procedure is useful for those with flabby faces or aging of the mid-face, jowls, brow and neck. Selective regional lifting is possible.
Buccal Fat Pad RemovaL
Buccal fat pad removal is used to remove the fat in the lower part of the cheeks to give a more sculpted look. The surgery is performed under local anesthetic in the procedure room and takes about 1 hour. The contour of the lower face is improved by removing the fat in the cheek that is not possible to lose through normal diet and exercise. This surgery gives the appearance of higher cheek bones and a more chiseled face.
Botox is most often injected into the upper part of the face. Most commonly, it is used to perform a modest “chemical brow lift” or to treat unwanted wrinkles caused by repetitive movement including frown lines, forehead lines, bunny lines, and crow’s feet.
In the lower face, Botox is used to treat certain dimples and depressions on the chin, to minimize the appearance of vertical lines and wrinkles around the mouth, and to elevate a down turned corner-of-the-mouth. In the neck, Botox is typically used to reduce prominent platysma bands (neck cords)

Dermal fillers help to diminish facial lines and restore volume and fullness in the face.
As we age, our faces naturally lose subcutaneous fat. The facial muscles are then working closer to the skin surface, so smile lines and crow’s feet become more apparent.
The facial skin also stretches a bit, adding to this loss of facial volume. Other factors that affect the facial skin include sun exposure, heredity and lifestyle.
What dermal fillers can do: Plump thin lips,Enhance shallow contours,Soften facial creases and wrinkles,Improve the appearance of recessed scars,Reconstruct contour deformities in the face,Decrease or remove the shadow of the lower lids
