The VisuMax Laser by Carl Zeiss.
The VisuMax laser performs the operation of myopia and astigmatism without making cuts on the patient’s cornea. Lasik Procedure

The main symptom is the decrease in visual acuity, accompanied by glare, photophobia and double vision.
Glaucoma Treatments
Glaucoma is a disease that progressively damages the optic nerve. It occurs when the liquid that we have inside our eyes (aqueous humid) progressively increases the internal pressure of the eye, due to a malfunction in the drainage system of this liquid.
Glaucoma causes a slow degeneration of vision. Over time this damage increases and the visual field decreases, which can cause total loss of vision. Currently this disease is the leading cause of preventable blindness in Spain.
The main problem of glaucoma is that in its earliest stages it does not produce any symptoms that trigger alarm in the patient. For this reason, most people who suffer from it do not know it until they have lost an important part of their vision.
Glaucoma is inherited, so if you have a family history, you should go to an ophthalmologic review. The simple measurement of intraocular pressure does not serve to completely rule out the disease.
We treat glaucoma with both laser surgery and traditional surgery. The purpose of pharmacological treatment and surgery, is the decrease or restoration of a normal intraocular pressure.
Our Glaucoma Unit has three different types of Laser for the treatment of glaucoma.
Macular Degeneration
Macular degeneration is a disease that causes the alteration of the central part of the retina known as the macula.
Macula is responsible for the central vision that our eyes provide us.
When we look at some detail we are using our macula.
Macular degeneration does not cause discomfort or eye pain, so the patient can suffer from it and not perceive any symptoms until the macular degeneration process is in advance stage.
AMD is not reversible and has no cure at present, but there are treatments that can slow its progression and sometimes even stop it.
In the case of the dry form, patient can take vitamin supplements usually orally. In the case of the wet form, laser photodynamic therapy can destroy permeable blood vessels, and anti-angiogenic therapy by injections to prevent the formation of new blood vessels and the progression of the disease.
Our Retina Unit has all the technical-surgical equipment for the treatment of macular degeneration.
Dry eye treatment Murcia
If you suffer from a dry eyes constantly using artificial tears, eye drops or creams to improve the condition, our new treatment with Pulsed Light can resolve dry eye problems.
Using a digital diagnostic imaging platform, we examine the patient’s ocular surface and analyze the degree of dry eye. The measurements obtained will indicate with extreme accuracy the quantity and quality as well as the characteristics of the tear film.
After complete diagnosis, we will propose and explain the treatment using Pulsed Light. Three sessions with an interval of one week between each session.
In 2018, we incorporated into our technology the specific DREYEX platform for the treatment of dry eye.
Since then we have treated more than a hundred patients that to date (June 2019) have significantly improved their quality of life, definitely abandoning the use of tears or eye drops.
The price of dry eye treatment is € 300 for both eyes. Three sessions of a few minutes each.
Strabismus
Strabismus is a condition of vision in which a person cannot align both eyes simultaneously under normal conditions.

Uveitis
Uveitis is an internal inflammation of the eye. Which affects the uvea, an eye area responsible for supplying most of the blood to the retina.
There are many causes of uveitis, but the most common are those caused by infections or some type of trauma. Which cause internal inflammation of the eye. The most prominent symptoms it presents are: red eye, tearing, eye pain, hypersensitivity to light and decreased vision.
In the vast majority of cases the problem doctor will give anti-inflammatories, antibiotics and antivirals.
Uveitis is a serious disease that can irreversibly affect vision, even causing blindness. Evaluation and the treatment must be by an ophthalmologist, urgently.
Lazy Eye or Amblyopia Treatments
Amblyopia or lazy eye consists in the decrease of the vision of one or both eyes. Without altering the ocular structures that does not improve with the correction of the graduation. Lack of adequate stimulation during the maturation period of vision.
